Heavy riffing thrash metal masterpiece, on vinyl for the first time!Invocator creates a thrash masterpiece with this album, but beware, this is a different form of thrash than you're used to and possibly "groovy" to some. However, if you like Exhorder, Pantera or Metallica, you will probably find this album great. In fact, it blows the shit out of everything Pantera has ever done. So what do we get? What makes this album so great? Answer: everythingIt's not easy to describe what's going on here, because Invocator uses a lot of shifting, semi-groovy riffs, but sometimes you can hear Morbid Angel and Suffocation influences a few times. There is also a lot of twisted riffing with serpentine sounds. The drumming here is really good and comes from Per M. Jensen (yes, he has played with The Haunted and Nightrage). His playing is incredibly tight and powerful, reminiscent of Gar Samuelson and Dave Lombardo. If you like "Slaughter In The Vatican" by Exhorder, but can handle a leaner and less rude version, this will be the way to go. It has a lot of faces from their first album overallBut "Weave the Apocalypse" is something completely different and a true testament to Invocator's mastery of heavy riffing.
