The album was released in 1966 and includes the experimental musical suite (a nod to later rock operas) “A Quick One While He’s Away,” famous for being performed on the Rolling Stones Rock N Roll Circus. “A Quick One” includes songs like “Boris the Spider” and “Don’t Look Away” and was mastered from the original tapes by longtime Who engineer Jon Astley.

The album is released as 1LP, the black vinyl version was additionally mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using a half-speed mastering technique.
